SNOW!!!

Flagstaff trip. This mountain looks so pretty with the snow on it.
White trees. We don't see that in our part of AZ.

It was 19 degrees coming down the mountain from snowbowl. It was a lot colder at the top of the lift.

snowing

Scott and I getting ready to leave for dinner at olive garden.

All these trees with snow on them were so pretty.

The snow was so high. It was higher than the doors on the suburban.

One of the guys that went with us was a crazy driver. He would make his truck slide all over the road for fun. But a few times he lost it and slid into some snow off the side of the road. He never got stuck but was really close to it a few times.

Really high snow.

This was at the beginning of the storm looking out our hotel room. Its not the best picture but its all I could get. The wind was blowing so hard I didn't even want to try and go outside to take pictures.

Scott and I, Buck, Bucks friend and a bunch of Scotts friends went to flagstaff for the weekend. We left on thursday. There was a huge storm coming and so we thought what a good weekend to go snowboarding. Since I have never gone before Scott said with having new powder snow it would be easy for me learn. The ride up was a little scary, lots and lots of pouring rain on winding roads on mountain sides. A few hydroplains in the suburban and I needed some medication to keep me sane. A few freeways were closed so we had to take a longer way there. Once we got up a little higher there was snow and ice on the roads and you couldnt see some of the lines to see which lane you should be in. We saw several accidents where people had gone off the side of the road. I am just so glad that I wasnt driving and that Scott is a VERY GOOD driver. I trust his driving so much more now. We finally made it there and they closed the freeway behind us. It was nice to finally get there and I could calm down. Thursday night was the big storm there was lots of snow and wind. When we woke up friday our car had about 2 feet of snow on it. Im glad Scott cleaned it up cause i am a wuss in the cold. We were hoping to go snowboarding for 2 and half days but the wind was so bad it knocked some power lines down and the lifts at snowbowl werw not working. So we didnt hardly do anything that day but drive around and try to find something to do. Saturday it was supposed to be up and running but we got there and they were not open and didnt know if they would be. So we waited a couple hours and no change so we packed up and headed out and just as we got on the freeway to leave Scotts friends called and said they are opening at 11:30 so we hurried back and got a few hours in. It was fun. I fell A LOT trying to learn and was sorta getting the hang of it. But There wasnt a whole lot of time to learn everything. But I am SO sore I am walking around like a 100 year old lady. But I had so much fun it was worth it. I hope I get to go again soon. As long as I can talk my mom into watching my kids again. Thank you so much mom it was a great weekend.

I have lots of pictures but not to many that have people in them. There was to much snow to take my camera out. I was also to scared I would have broken it if I would have brought it to the lift area.

Fun stuff

The kids and I went to the zoo with my cousin. We went to see the zoo lights. Scott has been really busy with work and wasnt able to go with us. But the kids were really good while we were there. So it wasnt to bad. They are getting big really fast. Sim and Carter think they are to big to sit in the stroller. Next time I know to not bring the huge 2 child stroller cause its hard to keep track of 2 children while trying to push it.

Carter started eating cereal with milk. Its always nice when the kids can start doing more on their own. But sad to see their not babies anymore.

Scott and I got to go out to dinner and a movie by ourselves it was so nice to be able to spend time with each other. We dont get much time to spend with each other with the kids. We have always had a child since before we were married so we have never been able to go and do things whenever we want. So when we get the chance to get away for even a couple hours it is very special. I would never change anything that has happened in the past and having kids is great. But we appreciate the time we get to spend together alone.

Christmas Toys

Scott took the boys out to ride their new toys. Sim is getting pretty good at riding his bike. He is still a tad to short for the pedals but he is growing so fast I'm sure he will be big enough for it soon. Carter can't go as fast as Sim on his quad so he gets off of it and runs to try and keep up.
